A Detroit-raised, conservatory-trained vocalist who’s shared stages and studios with the likes of Aerosmith, Joe Cocker, Kelly Clarkson, and Dave Matthews Band — and sung behind Cynthia Erivo at the Oscars — she’s just as at home in an intimate room as a sold-out arena. Her voice is rich, warm, and lived-in, moving between jazz standards and originals with the ease of someone who’s been telling stories in song her whole life.
