Kyle Turner is a Houston saxophonist whose horn has been a mainstay of the Texas music scene for over three decades — moving fluently between jazz, gospel, blues, and rock... Kyle's performance is magnetically captivating.

After studying at Jackson State University, Kyle launched his career on the road with Luther Vandross and Johnnie Taylor before settling into Austin in the early '90s, where he held residencies at the top rooms on 6th Street. His albums — It's Time, Sincerely Yours, KT3, Wrapped Tight, and Live at Phil and Derek's — have earned chart success and brought him onstage with Bobby Lyle, Marion Meadows, Althea Rene, Joe Sample, Kirk Whalum, and Kim Waters, among many others. He currently tours with Grammy-winning vocalist Regina Belle and hosts The Jazz Club daily on Houston's KTSU 90.9.

Grammy-winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum calls his playing "passionate and reflective… raw and refined." Regina Belle describes him as "one of the most profound and fluid saxophonists of our time." For jazz legend Bobby Lyle, "the sky is the limit." What ties it all together is a clarity of sound — the kind of horn that makes a room go still.
